With Judge and Clinician: Dolly Hannon (S)
It is with great enthusiasm that ADA announces our first educational event of the 2016 season! Test the waters early by attending Concord Ridge’s WInter Dressage Show and also get test riding pointers from one of our most popular USDF “S” judges — in a lesson format. Registration opens on February 8 (click here for the registration form as a PDF or as a Word document).
Ms. Hannon also encourages riders to bring their instructor! She loves to work with riders and all of their best partners — their horse AND their instructor.
The weekend’s schedule is as follows (see calendar for details on venue):
Friday, March 18 — Lessons with Ms. Hannon – 5pm-7pm
Note: If you choose to ride in the Friday evening sessions, be aware that Saturday’s ride scores cannot be counted. USDF rules forbid coaching from a judge within 30 days of a competition. Riders will be allowed to show and have rides scored Hors de Concours (you get a score sheet but are not pinned in the class nor can the scores be applied to ADA and other awards).
Saturday, March 19 —
ADA Show – 8am–6pm
Potluck Dinner – 6–8pm
Sunday, March 20 — Lessons with Ms. Hannon – 7:30am–2pm
Ride your test on Saturday, come back on Sunday for a review and critique to develop a strategy to improve your scores throughout the season.
Attention Freestyle Riders!
Ms. Hannon is the chair of the USDF Freestyle Committee. If you have a freestyle ready that you are planning to compete this season, take advantage of the opportunity to school with her. It is suggested that you book two 30 minute sessions to work on freestyles. Friday evening’s lessons would work well for this format.
